Tip #6 – Keep the Background Simple
Your photos will be instantly better if you will take the time to choose simple backdrops for your subjects. If that’s not possible, at least clean up and move distracting objects out of the background. Especially look for those objects that might appear to be coming out of your subject’s head.

An exception to this rule might be on the rare occasion that the items in the background help to tell the story you want to tell about your subject.
